What this siteknows about you

Short version: without your consent I collect nothing that could identify you. Below is exactly what, why and on what legal basis.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Łukasz Bilski, who runs this site as a professional profile. For anything concerning personal data, write through the form on the Contact page or to the email address given there.

Visit statistics

Traffic is measured with two tools, different enough that I treat them separately.

Cloudflare Web Analytics works without cookies and without identifiers: it stores nothing on your device and cannot recognise you on a later visit. It collects aggregate numbers only - page views, country, referrer, load speed. The basis is my legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works and whether anyone reaches it (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Google Analytics 4 stores cookies and assigns your browser an identifier, so it runs only after your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Until that happens the Google script is not downloaded at all. You can withdraw consent at any time at the bottom of this page; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

  • /_ga - browser identifier, valid for 2 years
  • /_ga_<ID> - measurement session state, valid for 2 years
  • /Cloudflare Web Analytics - stores no cookies at all

Contact form

The form is handled by Formspree - the field data (name, email address, message) goes to their servers and from there to my inbox. I process it in order to answer you, that is to take steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and keep the correspondence for as long as the matter requires.

The email address is not written into the page source directly, so that harvesters do not pick it up - it is revealed only on click.

Hosting and logs

The Polish version runs on GitHub Pages, the English one on Cloudflare Pages. Both record technical request logs, including IP addresses, to keep the service running and guard against abuse. I have no access to those logs in a form that would identify anyone.

Who receives the data

The recipients are the providers of the services named above: Google (Analytics), Cloudflare (analytics and hosting), Formspree (the form) and GitHub (hosting). Some of them process data in the United States, on the basis of the European Commission adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or standard contractual clauses.

I do not sell data and do not use it for profiling or advertising. Google Analytics advertising features are switched off.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to rectify, erase or restrict its processing, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to data portability. You can withdraw consent to analytics at any time, as easily as you gave it.

If you believe I process data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw) or with the authority in your own country.

Providing data is entirely voluntary. Declining analytics does not restrict access to any part of the site.
